Thanks to Dan for bringing up the basic questions about Bridgeports; I
always was curious about the various Bridgeport Mill models but was too
embarrassed to ask. This information would be very useful to any novice
thinking about purchasing a used Bridgeport. Now does anybody have any
similar information about the South Bend lathes favored by so many
homeshops. If you are planning on converting a SB to CNC are any models
better suited to conversions than other models.
