Sorry, that's a mis-spelling. It should say hardware side. My partner used
to design and build CNC routers in the UK (The Magnum Range sold by Graphic
Supplies), and now has moved into S/D (Database Admin), desided to build a
new one for home use. (probably a 4'x4' bed size)

We've not actually found exactly what we wanted anywhere yet. A stand alone
system (not powered by the PC) that take HPGL and G+M code, and can run
powerful steppers. In essence we want to build something with the power of
the larger comercial systems (AMC, etc.)

That looks good, I think I still need to write my own as I'm going to
convert it to run on a PIC chip so that I can build a totally stand alone
system. (serial HPGL to box, box to router)
