Hi Dave -
I don't want to go through the hassle of having to hook this up to an air &
oil supply every time I want to use it, but I am familiar with the
performance benefits of using misted oil in air. I was thinking about doing
what Dan M. did, and removing the seals on the inside of the bearings, and
then filling the inner chamber to a preset level (enough to submerge around
half of the first bearing ball), and hoping that spinning the bearings at
25000 rpm would provide the "misting" action. Not very scientific, I know,
but the bearings I'm looking at are rated at 22000 rpm with just oil.
Thanks for the input,
Carlos Guillermo

Higher speeds might be a good excuse to try an air/oil lube system. It
should help protect the bearings as well as provide superior
lube.
