The GE Mark Century One, Mark Centruy One Plus control is in no way the
GE2000 series and was NOT developed by GE at all. It was an imported control
from Aurki in Spain as a low end entry level controller for lower cost CNC
machines. Turns out that the control is quite powerful and very reliable ( I
have customers that have been running the same control for over 15 years).
And the reason it is now Fagor is indeed what you mentioned, GE had to stop
both development and importing of any CNC other than FANUC. Fagor
electronics picked up the importing of the control from Aurki and now
distrubutes them as their 8000 series controls.
