Joe,
In order to use SolidWorks with an AMD processor, you need to load a
registry patch. This is available from AMD. I tried to locate it but the
search facility on their site isn't working now. This patch works with
solidworks 99 only, and only for the second service release version.
According to Solidworks, Solidworks 2000 and 2001 work without needing the
patch. I was never able to get my copy of Solidworks 99 functional on my
Athlon 750.
