If you are spending your own money you can't beat EasyCad. It will output a
DXF file for importing into a CAM program, just as AutoCad will do.
However, if you have a decent CAM program it should have CAD built into it,
thus eliminating the need for a separate CAD program.
Seems odd that AutoCad wouldn't support parabolic curves. I'm guessing its
there somewhere.
