I still use the motor holder even now that I have a largish-solid Lathe so
that I'm not crushing the motor housings in the 3-jaw chuck. Additionally,
NEMA-23 only defines the centering of the shaft in the face plate, not the
body.
Yes, that's RUSH, he wrote that one instead of Alex, who knew?
