tubing and UHMW plastic this afternoon, and tomorrow is earmarked for
using it all to mount and protect those very strips. I'm hoping I can
cut a slot in bottom of the aluminum channel and drive the slider with
that - I'm not worried too much about chip contamination since it will
be behind and somewhat under the bed, and I don't use cutting fluid
very much.
Current plan for mounting is to make some clamps from Al bar stock
that will grab the rear V-way much like the gear cover mounting
bracket on my South Bend lathe, and bolt the encoder enclosure under
those.
I'll post when/if I get it working... may take into the weekend though.
