Hi,

It would take two DPDT relays if you want to avoid load current going
thru the limit switch. A single DPDT relay will do it if that's not a
problem.

Apart from the latching pole, a SPDT should do it. The common goes to
one side of the line, NC to one solenoid, NO to the other in series
with the "retract" NC limit switch. The other ends of the solenoids
go to the other side of the line....I think.
