Doug,

Consistent feed rate should come from a motor not
a hyraulic cylinder which would give consistent
pressure or force. Not quite the same thing.
Maybe a dc motor with speed control driving a
screw or ball-screw.
Naturally, once you get hydraulics set for a
given cut it should be OK.

Sorry that I think different or am so picky. Just
the way it is.
