Hugh,
I had the same problem for awhile but I finally did get the help I needed by asking for sales and not technical support.
In their defense they have a small support staff and I think pretty swamped with technical support stuff that costs alot of money.
Especially due to the do-it-yourself nature of their product. You notice that one of the terms of the AH-HA deal is to get you
WAIVE your right to FREE technical support from them. This service is EXPENSIVE to provide.
Kind of tough for a small outfit to provide the service that consumers have come to expect with 24 hour support and all. It can eat
up every bit of your profit especially for a narrow margin product line.
Spend a couple of hours on the phone and emailing replies every day and there goes all your profit!! Plus while your helping with
sales already made, you're loosing your next sale!!
Everyone has just come to expect it cause all the consumer goods manufacturers offer it.
Personally, I take my hat off to Mariss F., and Dan M., and Doug Y., and lots of others on this list who do the product support
thing for FREE in their own time and on weekends and stuff to help out the little guy. In my opinion this is WAY above and beyond.
Thanks
Joe V.
