Re: One power supply or 3?

Hello,

for the calculation of the trafos and electric rectifiers you must
know the power input of the stepping motors. For the stepping motors
the power input per coil is in data sheeds indicated.
The engines with constant current are in most cases operated. The
usable torque is constant almost over the whole speed range.
With a bipolar engine 2 coils are wired, and concomitantly the double
phase stream the power pack is extracted.
Example: Phase stream = 1.7 A --> current consumption from the power
pack = 3.4 A with 3 engines of this performance class must be able to
supply the power pack in the most unfavorable case 10.2 A.
Works our milling machine in 2D, then the z-axis works only if x and
y are stopped. Then you need only 6,8 A for this examble.
