BDI Steppers stuck E-stop

I have just installed the BDI disk and needless to say that I'm stuck
in E-stop. I am trying to edit the simulator .ini file and had no
luck. Does anyone have a sample .ini file for steppers and no limit
switches installed yet. I have noticed in the condition of parallel
port pins, that I have some pins that are in the red state. Pins 0-11
on left side are green and on the right side 0-3 are red and #4 is
green. What do I need to do to fire this up.
