Unfortunately, no! The Atlas-Craftsman group is pretty good, there
are a few other specialized groups that are not too bad, but the bad blood,
pettiness, name-calling and bigot-baiting on many other newsgroups
and mailing lists is just intolerable, and I have stopped reading most of them
due to such intolerance. It is most distressing, when people who are interested
in something can't have a serious discussion without people who have no
knowledge or interest in that subject throw there venom all over the place.
That is what has driven communities such as ours into (semi-) moderated
groups and lists like this, to keep the troublemakers out. But, it takes effort
for a moderator to do that, and we greatly appreciate that work!
