I have a Windows machine with an AMD chip in it (K6). It also will not
run Linux. The boot disks will boot up the minimal kernel, but any program
you try to run crashes it. So, now when I set up a Linux system, I always
make sure it has a REAL Intel Pentium chip of some sort in it.
