Fogassa,

I have written several prior messages in the list about "standard"
axes and directions... You can find them with a search on the list
website.

ALL axis movement should be "seen" from the CUTTERS' perspective! Do
this and it won't matter how the particular machine is constructed...

As Jon E mentions, machine zero matters mostly to the machine
builder, since the setup/programmer usually works with a "part"
or "program" zero location. Most commercial machining centers home to
the most positive direction in all axes, and call that machine zero.
This means you work in negative co-ordinates (until a part zero or
fixture offset is called). Most engravers and routers home to the
most negative position in xy (and most positive in Z). In this way,
the co-ordinates are all positive (again until a part/program zero or
fixture offset is called).
