I don't see any reason why not. I think some software makers were
trying to advance the notion that their products were not allowed to
be resold on the open market. Don't think anything has ever come of
their actions.

What version are you looking at? Some of the older ones are
completely useless. Over the years I've had customers give me their
Bobcad software. It came bundled with various CNC wood routers
they'd purchased. After trying it they went with a higher end
product. I threw them all away except the last one which is 16.1.

Don't pay very much or you may be disappointed.
