As in getting in trouble with the guy you sell it to? ;-)

If you have upgraded to a higher version, technically you are in
violation of the Bobcad license agreement if you then resell the
lower version. This is the same for most programs.

There should be a license agreement in the beginning of your manual
that tells you what you are allowed to do.
