Hi all:
I just picked up a really nice little Hansvedt sinker EDM.
I want to put a couple of servos on X and Y to turn it into a CNC EDM.
Any thoughts out there on how I would go about this?
I assume I would have to somehow tie the pulse generator to the X and Y axis
servomotors,(same way the z axis is tied to the pulse generator now) or can
I just program an orbital path the same way I would on a CNC mill.
I wouldn't be able to burn on oblique paths that way which would defeat much
of the functionality that I want to achieve.
Is this a practical project, or am I dreaming here?
