From: "Tim Goldstein" <timg@...>
specific .ini file that is mentioned in the first few lines of the .run
file that you are using. It could be generic.ini, emc.ini, mini.ini or
mini-metric.ini in the standard BDI install. When you have successfully
done that, the axis will take off looking for a home switch.
You may have to edit the direction of that move. HOMING_POLARITY = 1 is
the most direct thing to change for that but first you should jog each axis
a bit and make sure that the numbers on the display go the direction that
you want them to. If not, change the sign of INPUT_SCALE = ?000 0
and OUTPUT_SCALE = ?000 0.000 before you change the direction of the home
move.
someone always beats me to it. Fortunately Tim didn't mention that Paul
is also a virtuoso of English bubbly, Czech beer, and the correct
definitions of esoteric English language words!
With the addition of a BDI download site in Finland, (Thanks Henkka) and a
Australian burner, (Thanks Andrew) my relation to the BDI is diminished
some. I do still have copies of BDI-2.04 for those who need. Simply send
your postal address to me off list and I'll ship to those who's postal
service is faster than their 450 meg download. Since I have neither a
burner nor a connection that permits that size of transfer, it will be no
offense to me if others in this part of the world want to burn and
distribute copies of BDI-2.07.
If you do want to provide this service contact Paul
<Paul.Corner@...> and I'm sure that he will place you on the list at
linuxcnc.org/bdi.
