Huh! I was the sysadmin for that group between November 98 and
November 99!

I've seen Jean Yves's work in action. Pretty impressive stuff. All
you need is a bright "point" light source and a straight edge to cast
a clean shadow on the object. Check out

for "3D photography on your desk".
