I'm guessing you mean emcsegmot.c

I think that is a special case routine which is not used in most versions
of EMC, if I follow the Makefile in emcmot correctly. I'm not sure what this
routine does differently.

I think you should email Fred Proctor at NIST about this routine before you
spend any more time on it.
