Hi Ir. Peter
When are you going to form a team to represent Costa Rica in the
Junkyard War? I would imagine with your fertile mind, you would lead
a very formidable team, with great possibility at trashing the
Yankees.
<imagine some small loading and unloading device for a press or lathe>
Like an APC (automatic pallet changer). I would really like to do
something like that. How about faxing your ideas to me again. :-|
(meaning typical UK "stiff upper lips")
"brian": <Some on this list have made machines with drawer slides, So
why not a guide rod from a printer..some are hardened and chromed and
ground and as good as thomson rod, make an adjustable bushing to take
up the slack.>
It even have a Al bushing (lined with something (ring) that looks
like copper or bronze)
Jon: <I have used many of these for various projects, and also use
them for alignment rods when setting up things on the lathe, etc.>
Do you keep any pics of your old projects? They should make
interesting viewing.
Ahh! Jon using them as alignment rods!!! They must be as straight as
a "ram rod"!!!!
