No, not really.

It divides the motor's discrete steps into tenths. So, ten pulses out of
the computer makes the motor move one full step. Now, the motor may move
some small amount in between the steps, but you can't expect it to accurately
position in 10 discrete steps within the original full step.

Actually, it puts more stress on the CNC computer, as it has to put out
ten times as many step pulses per second.
