To find more information on a command, use the on-line manual:
man (command)

For a manual keyword search (I use this all the time):
man -k (keyword)

Also be sure to take note of the "see also" section at the end of
any man page. Many times it will link to more information, usually
a more relevant command.

Additional, per-program documentation is in (usually under its own
subdirectory):
