Hi Hugh
The only one I've looked at is qcad (CAM Expert) from ribbonsoft - It was the
CAM side of it that initially attracted my attention.....
As a 2D drafting package, it is somewhat lacking. As a CAM tool, it very much
lacks some important features. Tool paths have to manually drawn in with the
user doing any offsets to name but one limitation.
Not a package I would spend $130 on I'm afraid.
If you were looking at LinuxCAD, I would suggest reading
http://www.zip.com.au/~erikd/lcad.html first.
http://www.computer.privateweb.at/tech-edv/CADLinks.htm has links to some
products I didn't know about - CADDA looks to be a top notch product, and
judging by the pdf brochure, has a price tag to match.
Regards, Paul
