If it will do that then it is being greatly misused. The only time we used
it was when a friend and I made these keys out of plastic sheet and drew the
pictures up in Arts and Letters. It's funny, I did more CNC stuff in my
first year than I did for my final project. Right now all it does is mill
thing(s) from plastic blocks. I mean, thing, because they have a drawing
saved of a small wind turbine about the size of the palm of your hand. When
they have a no-hoper F grader they point him to load, click mill and you get
an A* pupil at the end while the rest sit around waiting for him to work out
why the unplugged machine isn't working. There must be about 12 new wind
vanes in the display cabinet every year. For something that is that accurate
the turbines themselves look quite messy. Our school should start supplying
them to the Met. Office.
