Randy:

This makes a lot of sense, and explains exactly what I've noticed. Assuming
that the program considered the position at "start-up" to be zero, then the
G00 X1 would move only one inch, while the G00 X-1 would cause a move of two
inches. Thanks a lot for the explanation.
