Check out http://www.dealerselectric.com/ for VFD's. They are listed
under inverter drives. Remember that you have to derate the unit by 50%
to use it with single phase input instead of 3 phase. So, for a 2 hp
motor on a single phase feed you need a 5 hp unit and for a 3 hp motor
you will need a 7.5 hp.
I have no connection with this company other than being a satisfied
customer. I just purchased a 10 hp Motortronics VFD from them and it is
working great and they shipped very quickly. They do often have items
listed on E-bay for less than on their website. The 10 hp VFD I just got
was listed on E-bay as a dutch auction for $90 less than it is on their
site. They did honor the lower price even though I purchased directly.
