I'll second that. Started with the stock Bridgeport steppers on Bridgett and
with G210a drives the best I could get was 90 ipm and that way beyond where
I would want to set it to be reliable. Now with the G320 drives and some
e-bay special servos (about $125 each motor including the encoders) I am
running at 120 ipm rapids 100% reliable and I have not even tried to see how
much faster I can reliably go. I have no way to test the low end grunt as
with both steppers and the G302 servo setup it is in the couple thousand
pound thrust range.

Now if you already have the motors and money is an object than I would use
the steppers.
