I use LPS-1 in the pump spray bottle. This stuff is somewhat like WD-40,
but leaves a light oily film on the machine surfaces. it creeps to cover the entire
surface. I use water-based coolant, and have the machines in a basement that
gets a bit damp in the summers. I've never had rust when this stuff is used.
I never clean it off, as the film is invisible after an hour or two.
I get this from any machine tool catalog supplier, like MSC, J&L, KBC, etc.
