Chris: Radio-Shack is nearly "everywhere". They sell a chrome-plated 4-pin
metal microphone connector and "jack" which is surely "good for" ten amps per
contact, and is solidly-built, if not gold-plated. I forget price (not
"cheap"!), but it does wonders on two of my home-brew CNC machines, day-in,
