Power Supplies

Just for the heck of it I stopped by a place in town
that sells surplus stuff of all kinds--mostly
furniture and computers. Usually prices stuff too
high in my opinion. However, I had noticed that there
was a shelf full of power supplies (there are 10 of
them)and I thought I'd get the specs on the supplies
and make it known to this list what they were and if
anyone was interested I could get them one and send it
to them for the cost of shipping. The supplies have a
price on them of $19.99 and are used (can see where
the leads were cut off)but look in good condition. My
electronics knowledge is minimal. The supplies were
made by Power-one (www.power-one.com) and had a part
number of HD5-12/OVP-A. I wrote down everything that
I could from the supplies but when I went to the web
site and there was all the information I had written
down. Then I wrote down the P/N in Google and lo and
behold there was mucho information on the supplies. I
think the guy would let me put power to the supplies
and I could probably take whatever reading I can get
with my VOM.
I have no idea if these devices are of any use to
people who subscribe to this list but I see the
voltage and current in the range of these supplies
mentioned fairly often. Let me know.
