as a full or half step controller. It still runs microstep internally,
but generates the additional pulses itself.
The G201/210 should work fine on your motors. I would guess that they
ran unipolar based upon the age. If so you are going to get better
performance from running them as bipolar. Also if you run them full coil
you would have to reduce the amperage anyway to well within what the
G210/210 are rated for. I would guess that the chopper drive allowing
you to run a higher voltage would more than over come the inductance so
that the result with the G201/210 would end up being superior to what
they had on the original drives.
