I've made quite a bit with it already.... Not much for photos though. The stuff
is great. When all bolted up it gives a real feeling of rigidity, but maybe with
a bit of "bounce".
I of course have used it on my CNC Router but, only as the framework for holding
the machine up. I came to the conclusion that the more "Mass" the better !
A friend of mine is building a CNC machine out of extrusions. Without the THK
rails attached it has quite a "Ringy" feeling. It should work fine though for
his application.
I would love to make a Hardwood floor CNC Inlay Router out of extrusion. Carry
the pieces in a customers house, Suck it to the floor with suction cups and my
trusty vacuum pump, then rout away!
Its always been that "one little mistake" issue that kinda makes the whole idea
fly out the window. I don't think it is inexpensive to have a floor replaced
these days !
