Ben,
Write to Scott Logan at ssl@.... While Logan no longer makes
complete lathes, they still make many needed replacement parts. Scott
can give you a quick run down on what to look for. In a lathe that old
you will want to make sure it's not been thrashed and worn out. I don't
think Scott likes to give firm values on machines he has not seen, but
he often will give approx price ranges on particular models he HAS seen,
and will tell you what the condition was. Up to you to determine where
your prospective lathe is relative to that.
Logan lathes are quality machines.
