Grizzly mini mills

Hi Folks
Pulling a Grizzly mini mill apart here in preperation for a CNC conversion..
The maximum spindle speed of 2500 RPM is pretty slow when you consider that
most small cutters run much higher than this. Looks like I can swap a couple
of gears around inside the head that should up the speed to 10,000 RPM -
Question though - Has anyone else done this, and will the spindle bearings
take it ?
Regards, Paul.
