For my 2 cnts, I made a bass bridge for a Fender Precision in high
school out of solid brass and its still kicking 20 years later. IT
was my 1st milling machine project. Brass is the way to go for the
saddles etc. Keeping it from tarnishing will be an issue for the
coating experts...
