All-thread, even expensive stainless-steel, is simply not precision enough,
even for a woodworking machine, to consider for this use.
Use only ACME with Turcite (preloaded?) nuts, at least. Or, ballscrews. Ask
for a catalog from Ballscrews and Actuators Corp., San Jose, CA (use a
search-engine of some kind. Sorry, no e-mail at hand, but I think there IS
one!)
All-thread may be just fine for specialty-clamps, hold-downs, fixtures, etc.
But not "machinery"!
