I think the most painless solution (and perhaps cheapest ---
time=money) would be to remove the stock electronics altogether,
install shiny new Geckos and get yourself a cheap pc for a
controller. No more file size limits, no more searching for obscure
Emco posts, no purchasing of an eprom burner, and no learning
assembly code programming (I am assuming that you don't already know).

Is there a special reason that you don't want to go this route?
