eproms

IS it possible to reprogram the eproms on an EMCO MAIER so they coould
interpret and execute nc files from Vector or other programs?

I am not and don't want to be a computer builder but I saw mention of
modifying Eproms here yesterday and I thought to myself, Self, why not just
reprogram the eproms so they "get it", lose the proprietary machine language
and set them for some generic language?
