The Taig CNC mills are now fitted with 200 oz/in motors as standard.
Roughly the same machining envelope as the Sherline mills, but the more
robust construction means they can take heavier cuts. Having upgraded my
Taig from the original 120 oz/in motors, the difference in performance is
well worthwhile.
I suspect, given that the Sherline is not as rigid a machine, that 155
would be as big as you would need, but there's no harm in having some
headroom if your drivers can take the extra load.
