Well, I had to print this earlier and think about it for a while.

I don't use a CNC lathe (yet), and I am a bit confused on the "Slab" milling function. I always
just drew an oversize rectangle and made toolpaths to transverse over the part, going past on each
end. Single depth, multi,, one direction or back and forth.....what ever I needed. Can you
describe this a bit further ?

Then, "AutoRamping"..... gee.... I had to think about the usefulness for a while. At first I was
thinking how easy this is to set in the Acceleration right at the Controller. But, then you have
that Softer Accel everywhere in the toolpath. As you well know, some controls, especially these
newer budget PC based ones "wrestle" and "compromise" their way thru a toolpath while constant
contouring. Sometimes the results are just a tad less than satisfactory. This is true especially
at Flatbed speeds in soft materials.

Vector's Idea sounds pretty good actually. If one can create paths that have the "AutoRamp"
function and some that do not in the same job, I guess it's downright brilliant! Does anyone else
offer this ?? I have not heard of it, I seldom climb out of the basement!

I am not concerned with overshoot, but, gouging is definately a concern if you want to run fast in
Foam. I did a few RC Air fuselages with the adequate, yet obviously less than optimum toolpaths
created in STL to G-code programs (not stlwork).

I only have a 48" long work area, and run about 375ipm Max. I guess I don't really fit the
profile. Add to that, I am not up to speed in general use of Vector. I will be over this
winter.......

Sounds like an interesting feature. I hope there would be some very nice and easy input dialogs to
handle the variety of circumstances that toolpaths may exhibit.
