They are appearing in the 7x10minilathe and GrizHFminimill groups as
well. But it can't be based on size because I belong to another group
with over 22,000 members and they are not there.

Belonging to seven groups or so, I can't afford to get all postings as
emails, I'd get hundreds a day, so the text email is no option for me.

I can't find any thing in their membership form that allows a choice
not to receive them.

Both Netscape and IE have ways to turn off images, which is a pain in
the ---, but at least I don't have lipstick on each page.

Letters to Yahoo probably wouldn't do any good, but the advertiser
might have some clout with Yahoo if they get enough complaints. What
do you think about that?
