I think if there were no advertisers there would be no Yahoo groups. Yahoo
isn't going to do this for free any more. I wish people would stop wasting
bandwidth complaining.

Having said that, for those of you who use the web to look at messages, try
webwasher. It filters outs the ads and worked for me at Yahoo group web
pages.
