BobCad/Emco suitability?

Now that the dongle of my CAD/CAM programme is about to need
refreshing (at considerable cost), please can someone indicate in
simple terms the disadvantages of buying BobCad version 17 at the
current reduced price. I only use the dongle on my Emco F1 mill and
hopefully on my Emco Compact5CNC lathe one day when I hook it up.
I can only find oblique references to problems with BobCad/Emco
programming but for the simple stuff I want to do, without threading,
it looks fine to me. Paul.
