Ned,
I have one of these tables that I'm in the process of converting. I'm
not near the table right now so I'm a bit hesitant to answer your
questions re the lead screws but to the best of my recollection, they're
10 threads to the inch and the handwheels are graduated in .001"
increments
with a total of .100" per turn. I'll verify this tonight and if I'm
wrong
I'll be sure to retract what I've just written. I haven't actually done
anything to check that the screw isn't something like 2.5MM per turn or
something strange like that. One of these days I may test this.
I wouldn't be supprised is the ENCO, Harbor Freight and Phase II tables
were all made by the same manufacturer. Dan Maunch mentioned on the list
recently that it looked to him that the Palmgren version was the same
as all the others.
