The Z-Star is a 486DX2-50. Basically, that means a 486 processor operating
interanlly at 50 Mhz with a 25 Mhz external buss. And, there's the internal
math processor (not like the brain damaged 486SX processors)
I did go into the CMOS setup and didn't find much to disable. I'll next play
with the AutoExec and Config files.

|Laptops do weird things sometimes, No experience, but you may
|want to go into the CMOS setup and see if you can disable anything
|that might be causing interupts such as power management, pcmcia
|slots, internal modems, whatever else. Delete or rename your config.sys
|and autoexec.bat files and see if that helps. What speed and processor
|is it?
