Limit switch options - opinion

I just finished building the better part of my CNC system (conversion
of a Sherline mill) and am moving onto the limit and home switched.
There are many options available and I'm curious as to what different
persons are using. I see 2 options; a mechanical limit switch (the
little ones with a spring loaded bat)and a magnetic one (I'd drill
and implant a small magnet into the base, place the pickups along the
travel path).

Any other ideas; opinions?

Anyone have pictures of how you fitted your sherline (or simular)
mill with limit and home switches?
