Epoxy

Anyone ever used any epoxy inlay material? I saw some at one
time in a woodworking store and have not seen any since. I think
it comes as a base material and a color additive. The only thing
I have been able to find on the internet is this.

That seems a bit on the expensive side. How about using a regular
epoxy and using common items for the additive. Laser toner for black?
any ideas? How do I keep bubbles from forming?
